“Arts/Care/Cultural Policy” Research Group
当研究会は、ケアの倫理とアートと文化政策を架橋することを目指して、2021年から活動を開始しました。文化政策やアートマネジメントの現場では、2000 年代以降に効率性や経済性を求める新自由主義的な価値観が広まりました。他方で、新自由主義がもたらす格差や社会的排除を問題視し、社会包摂への方策に注目する文化政策の研究と実践も生まれています。わたしたちは、「役に立つ、儲かる」という点がアートを価値づける際の優先事項として選び取られる中、そうではない価値を示しうる言葉を育むために、ケアの概念を参照しました。同時に、ケアもアートも、その良い側面ばかりを取り上げるのではなく、そこに内在する危険性にも十分に目を配りながら、議論することを目指しています。国内外の研究者・実践家・当事者のみなさんと共に、ケアとアートと文化政策について様々な視点から考え、言葉を紡ぎ、その実践を行う場が、この研究会です。
Arts/Care/Cultural Policy research group began its activities in 2021 with the aim of bridging the ethics of care, art, and cultural policy. In the field of cultural policy and arts management, neoliberal values that seek efficiency and economy have prevailed since the 2000s. On the other hand, research and practice focusing on measures for social inclusion have emerged in response to the problems of disparity and social exclusion caused by neoliberalism. We referred to the concept of "care" to foster a language other than "usefulness/profitability" as a priority when evaluating art. At the same time, we aim to discuss both care and art, not only focusing on their positive aspects, but also paying close attention to the dangers inherent in them.
Our research group is a place to think, speak, and practice care, art, and cultural policy from multiple perspectives, together with researchers, practitioners, and concerned individuals from Japan and abroad.
