「アート/ケア/文化政策」研究会第二回公開イベント
岡野八代先生と話すケアとアートマネジメントの出会い

2022年3月にジョアン・トロント先生を迎えて開催したシンポジウム「ケア×コモンズ×文化政策：新自由主義時代のニーズを捉え直す」を踏まえ、岡野八代先生（同志社大学）と、ケアとアートマネジメントを語る公開イベントを開催しました。岡野先生は、トロント先生の著書『ケアするのは誰か？新しい民主主義のかたちへ』の訳者であり、近年は美術手帖2月号「特集ケアの思想とアート」にも寄稿されています。
3月のシンポジウムは、「ケア」という概念の大枠を議論する理論的な議論がメインでした。本イベントでは、アートマネジメントやケアの現場にいる方を主な参加対象とし、みなさんと意見交換する時間を多くもつことで、トロント先生の理解を深め、ケアとアートマネジメントの接点をみなさんと探ってみたいと考え、公開イベントを企画しました。

Conversation with Prof. Yayo Okano about Encounters between Care and Art Management

Based on our first symposium "Care/Commons/Cultural Policy: Rethinking Needs in the Era of Neoliberalism" held in March 2022 with Professor Joan Tronto, we held a public event with Professor Yayo Okano (Doshisha University) to discuss care and arts management. Prof. Okano is the translator of Prof. Toronto's book, Who Cares?: How to Reshape a Democratic Politics (2015) and has recently contributed to a Japanese art magazine Bijutsu Techo's "Special Feature: The Idea of Care and Art (February 2022).
Our March symposium was primarily a theoretical discussion on the general framework of the concept of care. In this event, we sought to deepen our understanding of Prof. Toronto's lecture and explore the connection between care and art management with participants by having more time to dialogue with those who are in the field of art management and care.
